THE COACH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

WORKSHOPS:

 

 

 

INTRODUCING RUGBY and DEVELOPING RUGBY SKILLS

HOSTED BY:  Marquette University Women's Rugby Club

Saturday the 23rd and 24th of June, 2012 - From 9:00m AM to 5:00 PM

There will be a practical training session indoors and outdoors . . . please dress appropriately.

INTRODUCING RUGBY = $ 180.00 if Registered fifteen (15) days prior to the Workshop date

'You must Register before noon (12:00 PM) Mountain Standard Time, three or more Fridays before the start of the Workshop'

Registering three (3) days prior to the Workshop date = $ 230.00

'You must Register before noon (12:00 PM) MST, at least one Wednesday before the start of the Workshop'

Walk-ins (not recommended) = $ 300.00

 

 

DEVELOPING RUGBY SKILLS = $ 200.00 if Registered fifteen (15) days prior to the Workshop date

PCA (Positive Coaching Alliance) Double Goal Coach:  Winning and Life Lessons

 
 

Instructions to Complete Requirements:

 
   

To complete the iRB Rugby Ready online module:

 

 

 

 

 

 
   

 

1.

Go to iRB Rugby Ready and click on the Register button

       
   

 

2.

Enter your personal information and create a Username and Password.

       
   

 

3.

Complete all 14 of the lessons marked with an 'X'.  These lessons are called: 1. Pre-participation;

   

 

 

2. Equipment, environment and emergency plan; 3. Physical Conditioning; 4. Lifestyle; 5. Warm up;

   

 

 

6. Principles of play; 7. Open field play; 8. The tackle; 9. The Ruck; 10. The Maul; 11. The scrum; 12. The lineout;

   

 

 

13. Cool down and recovery; 14. Injury management

   

 

 

Be sure to answer the questions at the end of each lesson section.

*Note - you do not need to submit your Certificate to the USA Rugby office, but please make sure to keep it for your records . . .

   

To complete the Positive Coaching Alliance Double Goal Coach online module:

   

 

1.

 

Go to Positive Coach Courses, which will take you to the Positive Coaching Alliance’s National Double Goal Coach

Certification Program webpage.

   

 

2.

Click on link for Double-Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons.

       
   

 

3.

 

 

Go to the bottom of the subsequent page Positive Coach Courses - Double-Goal Coach.  Underneath 'Option 1:' it should say “Your Youth Sports Organization, or school has offered this course to you for free?”  Click below on the hyperlink 'Register with voucher code.'

   

 

4.

 

In the 'Voucher Code' field, enter 'Eagles06' and fill out your personal information.  Once you have completed the form, click on the 'Register' button at the bottom of the screen.

   

 

5.

 

 

 

Once you have successfully registered, the website will automatically take you to the Positive Coaching Alliance Online Learning Center.  Under 'Current Courses,' click on the hyperlink 'Double-Goal Coach: Coaching for Winning and Life Lessons.'  If this link does not appear right away click on the 'My Home' tab to the left.  This will refresh the page and the link will appear.

   

 

6.

 

 

 

Follow the directions provided by the Positive Coach Alliance Organization to complete the course.

Once you complete this form, you'll receive an automatically generated e-mail message confirming your registration.

The e-mail message will include  your username and confirm your password.  Please print a copy of the e-mail for your records.
